As we settle into life near Decatur, Alabama, I find myself reflecting on being a family photographer. I loved seeing everyone for their sessions throughout the year and am so excited for what next year will bring.
During this time of year, it feels extra special being able to highlight the reason for it all – being with the ones we love. This will be our first holiday season in our new home and I’m so excited to create and continue holiday traditions here!
Making Space for the Holidays
Soon I’ll be finishing up sessions for the year and leaning into Thanksgiving and Christmas prep. I’ll put away the editing to enjoy some downtime with all of our holiday favorites. As we’re putting down roots in Alabama, I couldn’t go without sharing one of my last family sessions in Colorado.
The Stout family and I planned a truly stunning session at one of my favorite mountain locations. We had the best time and the kid’s personalities were absolutely precious. They were so fun and expressive throughout the entire session.
Their youngest loves to dress up in pretty dresses and insisted on wearing the pink tutu from the client wardrobe. Mom chose a stunning gray dress, and I love the way it created movement in their family portraits. It’s especially beautiful in the one of Mom and Dad together. How dreamy are they?
Leaving Boulder, Colorado was hard but I am so glad I was able to end it on such a sweet note. Don’t worry, we’ll be back. For now, you’ll find us settling into our new home in Northern Alabama and enjoying all the firsts this holiday season will bring.
