These early days (and truly the first year) are the days I treasure most as a mom. They’re some of the hardest and most joy-filled and often feel like years and seconds all that the same time. It’s one of the main reasons I cherish my job as a Huntsville baby photographer. Preserving these memories- the ones I know you will want years from now is an honor.
These are the days before “I’ll do it myself” becomes a constant phrase in your home. Before first haircuts and hoping the baby curls magically come back…all while bracing your heart just in case they don’t. It’s late nights of studying tiny faces during feedings, catching small glimpses of their future selves, and wondering who they might become. Pretty soon we’ll do the reverse – wondering how it all went so quickly.
It’s such an honor to document those moments for you, even if it’s just a glimpse into everyday life. With every family, my goal is to create heirlooms you can easily look back on when those early days have passed. When the baby proofing comes down and they’re no longer entertained by anything within arms reach, you’ll have these sweet memories to look back on.
Momma, you can rest assured, we’re going to do more than just create beautiful portraits together.
Celebrating Sweet Baylor
Baylor first came to the studio for his newborn session and just one short year later, came back to celebrate his first birthday! His one-year milestone session was so much fun to photograph. Baylor loved playing patty-cake with mom and testing out his independence a bit by standing on his own.
Mom chose the sweetest, striped jumper from the studio wardrobe and he loved playing with the buttons. He was very curious and unsure about his cake but eventually came around to it. However, I think his favorite part of the entire session was the warm bubble bath after the cake smash. He looked so cute in his white towel, and I still cannot get over his little pouty lip!
