Carly’s Maternity Session | Decatur Alabama Maternity Photographer

Carly, you are such a light! Getting to celebrate women like you is one of the many things that make being a Decatur Alabama maternity photographer such a blessing.

I first photographed Carly when she was expecting her first little one and now soon-to-be big sister. We started just before she was born with a maternity session all the way up to her first year. I’m so excited to continue the tradition for her baby brother.

Starting your portrait experience with a maternity session is such a beautiful way to celebrate the wonder and miracle of the new little life you’ll soon be bringing into the world. It’s such an empowering and tender way to look back on this season. It’s also one of my favorite ways to connect with new families to celebrate with them every milestone. Your baby grows so quickly with each day and taking the time to create tangible pieces of art to remember it by is irreplaceable.

Carly’s Studio Maternity Session

For Carly’s maternity session, we opted for a studio session to bring a beautiful, timeless feel. The way the light wraps around them through the windows is gorgeous, especially the sweet moments with mom and big sister. I’m beyond ready to start welcoming clients into a light-filled studio space in the new year!

Carly’s also wanted to keep their wardrobe simple and sweet. Both mom and big sister are wearing pieces from the client wardrobe and I love they chose white dresses for the two of them. Dad chose a navy crew long sleeve as a nod to their little guy and I love how everything came together. I especially love Mom’s choice and the cutouts on both dresses adds just the right amount of texture.
