What started your journey with photography?
As most photographers, I started photographing my own sweet babies and fell in love with capturing all the memories! I started a 365 project and everyday I practiced with my camera both capturing the special moments and editing. At the end of the year, I had an album full of photos of my precious babies. I still enjoy going back and looking at those photos.
What is your favorite thing to photograph?
I love capturing connection between parents and their babies and siblings together. I love capturing babies in their early days, and watching them grow and hit each of their milestones along the way.
What kind of camera do you use?
I use a Nikon D700 typically with either an 85 mm or 50 mm. Although I have my eyes on the new mirrorless cameras!
How have you grown the most as a photographer this past year?
Finding more ways to serve my clients, especially busy mommas with little ones! There are lots of photographers out there that will take photos and send you a digital gallery. I wanted to find a way to truly become a full-service photographer. From hair and makeup, personal stylist, product designer, and even hanging frames on your wall. I wanted to take all the stress out of portraits and truly give my clients a finished product.
What do you do in your free time?
I love exploring new areas whether that is hiking a new trail, trying out a new coffee shop/restaurant, and/or visiting some shops in the area. I’m very relational and love to grab coffee and simply chat and get to know others on a deeper level.
