We celebrated our anniversary shortly after we moved to Huntsville. My husband and I decided it was best if we stayed close to home, so my husband and I booked a night in downtown Huntsville and we had a blast. We stayed at the 106 Jefferson Hotel which is located in the heart of the city. The night started with appetizers on their roof top restaurant, called Baker and Able (named after the monkeys that went to space).
We loved the views of they city!
After, appetizers we took a peace walk around Big Spring Park. There were musicians playing music by the art museum, kids feeding the koi fish, and people walking around the pond. After our walk through Big Spring, we ate dinner at Commerce Kitchen. There were several wonderful date night restaurants downtown – Cotton Row and the The Bottle, are two other wonderful ones. You have to reserve in advance especially on a Saturday night. After dinner, we opted for dessert at our hotel restaurant, Revivalist, but the Cozy Cow or Cookie Dough Magic made the short list as well! For breakfast, we opted for a local favorite, Another Broken Egg, but I also love Honest Coffee Roasters.
